INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIIP

From an initial 40 members in 1964, the number of members has grown to 3300 .
The members of the Institute come from different parts of the country and from different walks of life. The Institute also has numerous members abroad. Members comprise of Founder Members, Fellows, Life Members and Life Associates.

Members and Associates can enrol themselves as Life Members by paying a fee of Rs. 1000/- only. The members are entitled to get a copy of the Institute Journal called 'RAIL TRANSPORT JOURNAL' and also have the facility of attending the lecture meetings, seminars and Annual General Meeting.

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP

In addition to individuals, the membership of the Institute is also open to organizations desiring to become Institutional members. It is open to all reputed Institutions / Organizations. The Institutional Membership fee is fixed at Rs. 10,000/- only for the life of the organization. Institutional members are entitled to get a copy of the Institute Journal and also can depute their officers/ staff to attend the lecture meetings, workshop,seminars etc.

Institutional members can depute every year one student for the Diploma Course in "Rail Transport and Management" and one student for either of the Diploma courses on "Transport Economics and management" or "Multimodal Transport [Containerization] and Logistics Management".

Application of membership [both Individual and Institutional is to be made to the Secretary of the Institute in the prescribed form {Membership Form for Members/Associates and Applicaton for Institutional Membership}, which can be downloaded and submitted alongwith prescribed fee to the Institute directly.
